We were already queued up in line by 9.30 for darshan of Lord Vishnu, here things were pretty well managed, there were securities, proper queue and most importantly queue was moving. It took 2 hours for us to get darshan. We were hungry by then took prasad(kheer) in the temple usually dal and rice is offered in this temple. As Badrinath Is accessible by road so here you find different variety of food at least not restricted to Maggie and Parathas.
Badri Dham
We decided to try different cuisine here starting from Makai ki Roti Saro ka Saag, Kadhi Pakode.
Now we had to leave for Dehradun/Rishikesh within the next 2 days so we left Badrinath at 2 pm for our next destination Karnaprayag (first-night halt), enroute having view of Panch Prayag.
Hanuman Chatti
Panch Prayag is a set of five holy river confluences in the Garhwal side of Uttarakhand. According to a legend, as Ganga was descending on earth, Lord Shiva contained its enormous force by dividing it into various streams. After going through five major confluences, River Ganga becomes complete again and surges down to purify humanity. Prayag means confluence in the Sanskrit language.
En route to Badrinath, Devprayag is the first confluence followed by Rudraprayag, Karnprayag, Nandprayag and Vishnuprayag. Five rivers Bhagirathi, Mandakini, Pindar, Nandakini, Dhauliganga pour into Alaknanda at different locations. All the unions take place at the banks of Alaknanda River.

Bottom left( Rudra Prayag), Middle (Nanda Prayag) , Right(Karna Prayag)
We started Panch Prayag yatra from Vishnu Prayag and our first halt on the way to Karnaprayag, the road was empty when we went to click some pictures of Vishnu Prayag and By The time we came back there was a traffic jam, by now we were all used to traffic Jams as we knew how to deal with it, we just prayed that we should reach our destination at least by 10 pm, it was 6 pm and we were in the middle of the market from there was a temple of Narsinha and is the only temple in India, Sachin wanted to visit this temple since I told him we enroute to Badrinath could see the shrine of the temple from our car, Sachin and Pratik took the opportunity of Jam and went running 1km took darshan in 2mins and came back running while we were stuck in the same place. These are the benefits you can take when you are stuck but at your risk.
Narsinha Temple
It was midnight 12, I was asleep in the car, Sachin asked me if I wanted to eat anything as we had skipped our dinner and we were yet far away from our destination. So decided to have some maggie and tea. Our food, sleep timings were changed by now, we use to eat whenever there was food available, sleep whenever we reached our destination, it was all because of the Traffic and no management in Uttarakhand during the peak season.
We reached our destination Karnaprayag which was hardly 5-6hrs drive from Badrinath but we reached at 4 am after travelling 14 hrs.
Stay Tuned for the final Episode coming up next.
